Moore hören - Moore sehen is a live performance of light art and sound art. The format works with material beyond the limited range of human sensory perception. Bogs are normally inaudible, and individual cells of sphagnum moss are not visible. Kurt Laurenz Theinert's imagery uses these microscope images and translates them into an aesthetic experience. Likewise, the sound of organic processes deep in peat bodies is used as raw material for sound processing. Invisibility and inaudibility are transformed into perceptibility. Live tracked climate data from the performance location, such as CO2 and room temperature, directly influence what is visible and audible. The listeners experience and shape the processes themselves through their presence. Immersive, expansive 360 degree video installations and the quadraphonic sound structure enable immersion in incomprehensible processes.
